Amy Bell is on the brink of signing a major music deal with Rod’s manager Arnold Steifel.
Steifel funded a three week trip for Bell and her boyfriend to Beverley Hills for recording sessions.
22-year-old Bell from Glasgow wrote and recorded songs which she hopes to release in the new year.
“It’s very exciting. I’m feeling really positive about my future.
“I spent my time writing and recording songs with various songwriters and musicians.
“Arnold Stiefel funded the whole trip. I’m hoping there is going to be a management deal firmed up in the New Year.”
When Amy appeared with Rod at the Albert hall in London he introduced her as “someone I found on the streets of Glasgow”. They sang Rod’s 1979 hit I Don’t Want To Talk About It.
