New Maggie May print

By Artist Don Howard

posted by Mike Walton

Long time SMILER members will remember back in 2009 our good friend artist Don Howard was looking to update his caricature of Rod and as you guys are the experts he asked for your suggestions and after taking them on board came up with with a stunning new Rod sold really well here on SMILER and newer members will be pleased to know Don is still selling the prints on his website.

But the really good news is Don has come up with another amazing Limited Edition caricature titled 'Maggie May' inspired by the lyrics of Rod's most well known anthem.

Don Howard embarked on his career as a caricature artist 40+ years ago in Denison, Texas. After completing his studies at Hampton University, Don began his career at Disney Studios in Burbank, CA. While at Disney, he worked on projects for Robin Hood and Winnie the Poo. It was during this time that he became keenly interested in the art of caricature.

Don relocated to Huntsville, AL in the early 1980's and after establishing Howard Studios, he made a personal decision to concentrate on the art of caricature. Since his decision, he has not looked back-caricatures are his only form of artistic expression. Don works tirelessly to develop caricatures that are not only humorous and provocative, but also professionally crafted.

We are sure many SMILER members will want to buy a print of Don's latest work and they are available at

And although Don is based in America The Don Howard Studios do post out to UK and Europe
