Wood Will Roll Around Europe With The Stones

The Rolling Stones will be back to play their first British shows in four years next year - all in London.

The Rolling Stones will be back to play their first British shows in four years next year - all in London.

The band will play what may be their last ever UK dates in London next August. The biggest will be at the 73,000-capacity Twickenham Stadium on August 23. They will go on to play an intimate concert at the London Astoria on August 27 and Wembley Arena on August 29.

Last weekend the band played the last of their US tour dates this year, in Las Vegas. They will bring The Forty Licks show to London as part of a full European tour.

Ronnie Wood said of the three different shows: "It's a good test for the band, to keep us on our toes. I always love doing the clubs - but there are great advantages with the stadiums as well. Sometimes we'll do an 'Exile On Main Street' evening or a 'Sticky Fingers' night or a blues and reggae night."

Tickets for the London dates go on sale this Friday. For a full list of European dates visit www.rollingstones.com/tour
