Prestigious American art gallery to show Ron's art

Ronnie's art in Ohio

A prestigious American art gallery is set to play host to an exhibition of artwork by Ronnie Wood.

The Ohio-based Butler Institute of American Art will show 30 paintings and 22 drawings by the Faces guitarist for eight weeks from 21 September.

Ronnie is an unusual choice for a gallery wo are better known for exhibiting American artists like Jackson Pollock, Edward Hopper and Chuck Close.

Butler director Dr. Louis Zona said: “Wood is a most accomplished painter whose work demonstrates a wonderful knowledge of the medium, outstanding technical abilities and an extraordinarily creative mind.”

“The Butler is honoured to host the artist’s first major American museum exhibition.”

Ronnie is due to attend a reception for the opening of the exhibition on 21 September.

'Ronnie Wood: Paintings, Drawings and Prints' opens Tuesday 21 September for 8 weeks at the Butler Institute of American Art,
