All the hits...

Darling's Waterfront Pavilion, Bangor, Maine 14/7/17 Review by Susan Morrison

posted by Mike Walton

Wearing a bright violet wig Cyndi Lauper went through all her hits 'I Drove All night', Time after Time' and of course 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' that has recently been used as the theme tune for women's marches she also invited on to the stage Maine's Senator Susan Collins for a moment of bipartisan appreciation.[In 2015, Cyndi testified before a bipartisan committee chaired by Susan]

Cyndi also an activist for LGBT rights and who performed at the 2008 Democratic National Convention, praised Susan for all her work calling her a hero. Susan replied "We're just glad you're here.”

Well I was just glad Rod was here!..

Thank you so much Rod for putting on such a WONDERFUL. show in Bangor, Maine! It was everything I had hoped for. You had the crowd on their feet from the moment you took the stage! and played the superb Infatuation, I couldn't help not to sing along as you performed all the hits including 'Downtown Train', 'You wear It well' and Tonight's The Night! Your voice is still as FANTASTIC as it was when I was 12 years old and first started listening to you!

You played my all time favorite 'Maggie May' and as usual you invited us all to join in! I love "Reason To Believe" as well. There wasn't ONE song that anybody couldn't enjoy.

The band were BRILLIANT and I thoroughly enjoyed them as well. Had hoped to see J'Anna on violin but was very pleased with her replacement.

I truly hope to be able to see you in concert again as it is such a great show.will love you forever Rod even though I won't be FOREVER YOUNG! Your biggest fan. Susan Morrison
