The Carmine Appice Story
On BBC Radio 2 Saturday 20 September 1900 - 2000 The story of rock drummer Carmine Appice, who rose to fame as part of Vanilla Fudge and toured with Hendrix, the Doors and the Monkees.
Appice also wrote two of Rod Stewart's biggest hits while part of the singer's set up.
Pete Mitchell travels to America to track down the star, talking to members of Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, Dio, Cactus and Vanilla Fudge along the way.
