ABOUT ROD - News, April 7, 2010: Introducing Anne King

Multi-talented Anne King plays the trumpet, flugelhorn, piccolo trumpet and keyboards. She has performed with marquee acts throughout the country from Ray Charles and Guns n' Roses, to Lenny Kravitz and Elton John.
She has contributed to albums and CDs for Take 6, Scott Henderson, k.d. Lang, Mary's Danish, Sponge, Buddy Collette and Jennifer Lopez to name just a few.

She has also shared the stage with big bands and orchestras including lead trumpet for Frank Sinatra Jr., Louis Bellson, the Burbank Symphony, the Concordia Symphony, and showcased her talent at the Playboy Jazz Festival, Monterey Jazz Festival and the Billy Taylor Jazz Festival at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. multiple times.

Anne told SMILER today..
"We have begun horn rehearsals and are rehearsing every day this week.
I'm very excited about doing this tour and working with Rod. The band sounds great and they couldn't be a nicer bunch, There are a lot of horn parts on the tunes that we are going to do, I am looking forward to the tour!"
