Ronnie Wood appears to Cardiff next week not to play, but to display.
You'll get to see a selection of his works at the Capsule Gallery on Charles Street from Thursday, January 27th.
Many of the paintings are of his friends from the music world, including the Stones, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Rod Stewart and some self-portraits, and Ronnie himself will be at the private viewing of his exhibition in Capsule on Wednesday, January 26th.
Said Geoff Valentine, a director of art and music collective Acid Casuals, who own and run Capsule: 'The musical talents of Ronnie are well known in every household, but his art has been a much more personal journey which reveals an intimacy unseen through his music.
'Acid Casuals are delighted we're going to be showing his work in Wales for the first time.'
Before the Jeff Beck Group, the Faces and the Rolling Stones, Ronnie attended Ealing College of Art in London.
As his musical career progressed, Ronnie continued his painting and drawing, his subjects ranging from musicians he admired, knew and sometimes played with, to family and close friends, and, of course, the self-portrait.
Over the years his work has been widely exhibited. In 1996 he had a retrospective exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has had numerous solo exhibitions in America, the far East and throughout Europe. Entry to Capsule is free.
