Rod snubs soap

Rod say's no to TV role

The Scottish newspaper The Daily Record has revealed that producers of TV soap River City were forced to ditch plans for a celebrity guest appearance over the holiday season. They asked Rod to star in the New Year's Day episode, but he turned them down.
A BBC spokeswoman told The Record,
"What I can tell you is we don't have a celebrity.

"We had to re-draft that script because we approached Rod Stewart but he couldn't do it. It was a long shot on our part.
